Sri Lanka has a tremendous rich heritage possibly started at circa 236 B.C. with the introduction of Buddhism to the country sent by the Indian Empire Asoka. 
​Today, both Buddhism and Hinduism are the religious that dominated the country.
Her geographic location and deep harbours made her strategically important under the limelight since the time of Marco Polo.

Although Sri Lanka was impacted by the civil war from 1983 to 2009 (no more war please!), that has in fact shaped her into an uncover gem.  Unlike Bali or Phuket, Sri Lanka is untouched.  She is real, raw and robust.  Her attractions are without filter.  From National Parks, Wildlife Reserves, she has become one of 25 biodiversity hotspots and home to over 250 types of resident birds in the world.
The UNESCO has declared six archaeological and two ecological World Heritage Sites on this island.
