Volvo Penta and Asia Superyacht Development Announce Collaboration.
ASD becomes Volvo Penta's Regional Yacht and Superyacht Relationships Management Service Provider.
In order to draw ever closer to the fast growing Volvo Penta equipped yachts and superyachts fleet in North and Southeast Asia, Volvo Penta is pleased to collaborate with Asia Superyacht Development (ASD) as the Regional Yacht and Superyacht Relationships Management Service Provider. ASD, a Singapore-based company, will serve as the preference liaison between owners of Volvo Penta equipped yachts and superyachts and the countries’ respective Volvo Penta Authorized Parts & Service Dealers.
The move is intended to facilitate commissioning and servicing of Volvo Penta equipped yachts and to provide owners with an interlocutor highly specialized in yachting and solely focused on that market segment.
Eelat Pte Ltd, one of Volvo Penta Authorized Parts & Service Dealers in Singapore welcomes the cooperation move as Eelat sees "ASD interface as a very needed and efficient way to bridge the gap between yacht owners expectation and Eelat’s day to day servicing obligation to the marine segment of the business. It is believed that the introduction of the service by ASD will have a positive impact on delivery time and service quality across the region".
Jean-Jacques Lavigne, CEO of Asia Superyacht Development confirms: "our collaboration with Volvo Penta has only one objective: keep pushing towards an always improving yacht owner experience. We all know how difficult it is to maintain yachts in tip-top conditions in tropical and equatorial regions. Even more so across a vast region with sporadic infrastructure. With that collaboration, we see a beautiful way to help by tapping into our network and service centric approach".
Alex Plent, ASD's COO who leads the initiative declares:" As ex-Captain, I saw first hand some of the difficulties that everyone was facing on a day to day basis. Everyone is willing and trying their best to deliver but there were some gaps here and there that were making some repairs and maintenance project a bit more difficult that they should. With ASD serving as Volvo Penta's Regional Yacht and Superyacht Relationships Management Service Provider, we are really focusing on stepping over those gaps and helping everyone out to smooth the entire processes out for the benefit of speed, cost-cutting and more time cruising around enjoying yachting, especially once the current restrictions are lifted. Owners will want a lot of fresh air and with all the freedom that goes with it. "
