Jean-Jacques (JJ) Lavigne, Asia Superyacht Development (ASD)’s Founder has been a pioneer in developing and bringing the Superyacht Industry to Asia.
After starting his career in consulting and market research in Japan, he has been based in Singapore for the best of the last 25 years. Executive Director for the Singapore Superyacht Association (2007 – 2012), and co-owner of Asia Pacific Tourism Investments Corp. (2011 - 2013) he was instrumental in transforming the Lion City into a Superyacht hub and destination.
He founded ASD based on years of experience and passion, having managed Asia’s largest charter agency, One15 Luxury Yachting Pte. Ltd, represented Sevenstar Yacht Transport BV for Singapore and Indonesia, acted as regional sales manager for Akzo-Nobel yacht coatings and developed an unmatched portfolio of services supporting Superyachts visiting the region.
Under his guidance ASD is now an outfit dedicated to meeting yachting needs in the region, covering a wide spectrum of activities, from yacht financing, insurance to refit, advising owners and stakeholders in their strategies, investments and of course superyacht maintenance, design, purchase or sale.
In a few words, Jean-Jacques is one of the lighthouses guiding Superyacht industry actors and stakeholders to the Asian market in optimum conditions and with their best interest at heart.
